Hi, I have installed svgaib on a Dell Latitude P133. Having failed to get X to work I am now trying to get a decent- looking useable console. I am following the hint: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Laptop-HOWTO-20.html#ss20.2 to get a 800x600 display. Booting with vga=7 renders a nice font but uses only part of the screen. Calling savetextmode renders the keyboard unuseable (no reaction) forcing me to power down and face the slow fdisk with errors. Any ideas why svgalib utilities would cause such a drastic problem?
